Washoe Medical Center has selected Robert Olson as the Washoe Medical Foundation vice president of fund development.
Olson has worked in the healthcare industry for more than 26 years and joins WMC from Omaha, Nebraska where he served as the regional vice president for a national physician organization's foundation.
Olson will manage the five-member staff at the Washoe Medical Foundation, the fund-raising arm of Washoe Medical Center.
Previously, he has directed capital and major gift campaigns to build a new hospital, cancer center, intensive care facility and an emergency trauma center.
In Omaha, Olson served on the board of the Thomas J.
Dobleman Head and Neck Cancer Institute, as well as on the Chamber of Commerce, Girl Scouts,YMCA and Visiting Nurse Association boards.
