Furniture, groceries, fabric, tools soon it'll all be selling side-by-side at the old Kmart plaza on Peckham Avenue and Kietzke Lane.
Redesign and updating of the center is under way,with plans for mid-summer store openings, says the center's owner, Kamran Farhadi, a developer based in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Savers Thrift Store, a discount clothing store, has leased space in the center.Also on the books is a furniture store.
Other tenants are in the negotiating stage.
Previously, Grocery Outlet announced plans to move into the center, joining current tenants Jo-Ann,Harbor Freight and King's Buffet.And, farther out, the developer plans to add pads for 8,000 square feet to 10,000 square feet of multi-tenant usage.
Architect on the redesign is Carlin Williams Architects.
