closely watched survey of Americans' vacation plans found that 46 percent of leisure travelers hope someday to visit Lake Tahoe.
That's a few percentage points higher than the number who hope to visit New York, Orlando or Las Vegas, said the survey conducted by Yankelovich Partners.
Nevada is among the states that U.S.
adults most want to visit within the next two years, the survey found.
Seventeen percent of the respondents want to visit Nevada.
Leading the list was Florida, cited by 40 percent of those surveyed.About 36 percent hope to visit California.
