• Children's Museum of Northern Nevada will celebrate Earth Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 813 N. Carson St. With paid admission, there are free recycle craft activities for children. Bring worn-out athletic shoes for recycling. Call 884-2226.

• 16th annual Community Cleanup Carson Pride Week.

- Senior Junk Haul by 1-800-GOT-JUNK for seniors 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday by appointment

- Adopt-a-Block call 887-2100. Free dumping for Carson City residents only at Carson City Landfill from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. today-Sunday and April 29-May 1, call 887-2345 or 882-6066

- Street Department pick up, call 887-2345

- Wreck Riddance, call 882-7772

- Household hazardous waste, call 887-2190;

- Open burn (must obtain permit from the fire department).
