Charles E. Morton, 61, a Dayton resident for the past nine years, died Nov. 24, 2005, at his home. He was born April 24, 1944, in Los Angeles to Charley Lee Morton and Mary Frances Cunningham.
Before moving to Dayton, he lived in Aloha, Ore., from 1968-1995.
Mr. Morton was employed by Deluxe Check Printers in Chatsworth, Calif., and Beaverton, Ore., from November 1962 until he retired in 1995. He also worked for Valley Appliance in 2001 and The Depot Casino in 2003. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and golf and was a member of the Rock Creek Gold Club in Hillsboro, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Chester Cooper.
Among his survivors are his fiancee Sheila Boughton; son Dean C. and daughter and son-in-law Kristin L. and Steve Leonard and granddaughters Tiffany and Tia Leonard, all of Carson City; sisters Linda Sfetku of Aqua Dulce, Calif., and Tena Thurmond of Ft. Mojave, Ariz., and many extended family members.
