A memorial service for Janice L. Falan, 66, a Carson City resident for the past 33 years, will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mrs. Falan died Dec. 11, 2005, in Carson City. She was born June 4, 1939, in Rock Island, Ill., to Willis and Janette Howard.
She graduated from high school.
She married H. Denton Falan on Aug. 29, 1974.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Lynwood, Calif.
Mrs. Falan was a food server at Scotty's Family Restaurant for 24 years and at SlotWorld for five years.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter Teri Johnson; son, Keith Johnson; and grandson Eric Johnson.
Among her survivors are her daughters Pamela Fisher of Port Angeles, Wash., and Tamara Noftsker of Carson City; brothers Richard Howard of Illinois and Stanley Howard of Texas; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous extended-family members.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research.
