Laura 'Farrie-Belle' Edison

Laura "Farrie-Belle" Edison, 83, a Carson City resident for the past two years, died Dec. 21, 2005, at her home.

She was born April 22, 1922, in Gardnerville, to Alfred and Lois Buck Stewart. She lived in Gardnerville for 81 years.

She graduated from Douglas High School.

She married Ray L. Edison in 1941 in Gardnerville. He preceded her in death 2003.

Mrs. Edison was a housewife. She was a direct descendent of the Grovers in Markleeville. She enjoyed crocheting and having lunch at Olive Garden.

Among her survivors are her children Sarita Ramsey of Carson City, Dianna McMurtrey of Stagecoach, Claudia Smith of San Jose, Calif., and Laura Deen of Carson City; sister Edith Blevins of Yerington; brother Edward Stewart of Castro Valley, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 30 extended family members.

A memorial will be held in spring at Grover Hot Springs.
