William James "Jim" Dunn, 85, a Dayton resident for 13 years, died on Dec. 24, 2005.
He was born in Hailey, Idaho, on Sept. 18, 1920.
He graduated from Braymer High School in Cowgill, Mo., in 1939.
He married Wilma Maddaford on June 15, 1940.
Before moving to Dayton, he lived in Carson City; Yuma, Ariz.; and Hemet, Calif.
Mr. Dunn was a chemist for Kennecott Copper Co. in Ruth, then superintendent for the Carson City wastewater-treatment plant until his retirement in 1976.
He was a past president of the Sierra Silver Wheels RV group, a charter member and past president of the Silver Sage Sams and a charter member of the Good Sam National Organization. He enjoyed woodworking.
He served in the Navy as a coxswain aboard the USS Montrose in the South Pacific during World War II.
Among his survivors are his wife of Dayton; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Janie Dunn; daughter Judy Grenade; daughter and son-in-law Linda and David Stephan; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or a charity of choice.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
