William Richard Mickey, 80, a Carson City resident for the past six months, died Feb. 2, 2005, in Carson City. He was born April 21, 1924, in Los Angeles, to William E. and Helen L. Theophilus Mickey.
He attended Roosevelt High School in Los Angeles.
He married Lois A. Dohring on June 20, 1952, in Bell, Calif.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Los Angeles; Seattle, Wash., and Ojai, Calif.
Mr. Mickey worked in aircraft manufacturing and retired from Boeing. He was a member of Gatewood Baptist Church in Seattle, a deacon at the Community Church in Ojai and Ventura Baptist Church.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Richard in 1985 and Edward in 1995.
Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; daughters and sons-in-law Janet and James Scolet of Dayton and Michele and Mark Roberts of Ventura, Calif.; granddaughters Ashleigh N. Scolet and Cynthia N. Scolet of Dayton, two grandchildren and three nephews.
A private family service will be held.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
