The 7-Eleven convenience store near the "Y" was robbed Friday night by an armed man who fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department reported.

The masked man, described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a medium build and either hazel or green eyes, pointed the gun at a clerk and demanded money, Sgt. Brian Williams said Sunday.

The clerk was not harmed.

Police sent a dog out to try to track the suspect.

The call came in at 11:39 p.m. from the store at 800 Emerald Bay Road.

The 7-Eleven off of Pioneer Trail was robbed a month ago by a masked man dressed in black.

At the time, police said they believed it was the same robber who had targeted walkers in the area, demanding purses or wallets with the threat of a gun.
