A memorial service for Mickey J. Murray, 85, a Carson City resident for the past 38 years, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the South Reno United Methodist Church, 200 Despain Lane.
Mrs. Murray died Feb. 21, 2005, at Mountain Springs Assisted Living Community.
She was born Nov. 6, 1919, in Miles City, Mont., to T.J. and Freda Kelly.
She attended the University of Nevada from 1938 to 1942.
She married Roscoe Murray Jr. on Jan. 30, 1942, in Reno.
Mrs. Murray was a substitute middle-school and high-school English teacher in Douglas County. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carson City, Gamma Phi Beta Society and Eastern Star.
Among her survivors are her husband; children Kate Langley of Reno, Patsy McBroome of Loveland, Colo., Melani Murray of Yakima, Wash. and Michelle Murray of Sparks; half-brother, Dean Kelly of Gresham, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a niece and nephew.
Cremation will be at Walton's Crematory. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
