According to a recent press release by the U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit (LTBMU), the four Tahoe Basin agencies of Pathway 2007 invite the public to a set of visioning workshops.
Those four agencies are: USDA Forest Service, Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board (CA), and Nevada Division of Environmental Protection.
The workshops will help agency planners gain valuable public input and insights that will assist them in developing revisions to the long range plans that guide resource, land use and land management policies for the next two decades.
Two Tahoe Basin facilitated workshops are scheduled.
The first will take place on Saturday, January 8 at the Chateau, Incline Village from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
This location will also be accessible to interested publics from the Reno and Truckee areas.
The second will take place on Wednesday, January 12, at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Stateline, south shore, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
This location will also be accessible for interested publics in the Carson City- Carson Valley and west slope communities.
Participants at these workshops will help answer and define questions that will be used by agency planners in developing long range plan revisions, as well as learning about the possibilities and sideboards that are part of this early visioning process.
