MuniMetriX, a small Reno company, said last week it won a contract to provide electronics record management services to more than 9,000 New York Life agents across North America.

The contract, the largest won by the company in its 19-year history, will lead to record revenues in 2005 for privately held MuniMetriX.

It expects to add two or three employees to its five-person staff within the next year as the result of the New York Life work.

MuniMetrix got its start providing document- management systems to municipal governments across the United States and widened its sights in 2000 to include privatesector clients as well.

The New York Life contract will help open the private-sector market even further, said Steve Martin, vice president of sales and marketing for MuniMetrix.

He said the company spent more than 12 months testing, negotiating and

developing pilot projects before it won the New York Life business.

"We have worked very hard to configure cost-effective solutions that we believe will save New York Life agents time and money in their document management processes," Martin said.

Financial details of the contract weren't disclosed.
