Herb Trade, a Reno-based wholesaler of organically grown herbs, spices and agricultural products, has leased half of a 50,585- square-foot distribution center that's the first project of a new developer of industrial properties.
Equiterra Properties developed the building in the Silver Lake Business Center at 12085 Moya Boulevard in northern Reno.
The development firm was launched late last year by David Loring, who previously served as vice president of development for Reno-based DP Partners.
At DP Partners, Loring completed more than 90 projects totaling 18 million square feet and valued at more than $400 million.
He handled duties ranging from land acquisition to oversight of construction for DP Partners.
Along with the Moya Boulevard distribution center, Equiterra has a project near Harrisburg, Pa., in the early stages of development.
Loring, the chief executive officer of Equiterra, said the company looks to develop projects across North America.
The Reno distribution center is scheduled for occupancy in December.
Leasing is handled by Gordon Zack and Eric Bennett of the industrial properties group of CB Richard Ellis in Reno.
