Bryce L. Bernard, 85, a Gardnerville resident for the past five years, died July 11, 2005, in Carson City. He was born May 3, 1920, in San Jose, Calif., to Laurence and Helma Barnard.
He received a bachelor of arts degree from University of California Davis.
He married Zeta in October 1979 in Salinas, Calif.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Salinas.
Mr. Bernard was a rancher.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Among his survivors are his wife of Gardnerville; daughter, Pamela Graver, stepson, Gary Silva; sister, Betty Brazitis, and three grandchildren.
He will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered on Sonora Pass where he hunted and camped for many years.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
