A memorial service for Charles J. Callahan, 82, a Gardnerville resident for the past four years, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville.
Mr. Callahan died July 10, 2005, at his home.
He was born May 1, 1923, in Lynn, Mass., to Joseph and Katherine Mahoney Callahan.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Lynn for 77 years.
Mr. Callahan worked for General Electric for 40 years before retiring in 1985.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna, on Sept. 16, 2004.
Among his survivors are daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Peter DiFillipo and son, Wayne Callahan, all of Gardnerville.
Inurnment will be at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
