A memorial service for Myron Schlenker, 73, a Carson City resident for the past six years, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Carson City.
Mr. Schlenker died July 19, 2005, in Carson City. He was born Dec. 23, 1931, in Goodrich, N.D., to Abe and Emma Schlenker.
He married Ramona Laemmle on Oct. 22, 1952, in Blackstone, W.Va.
Mr. Schlenker served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He was preceded in death by brother, Gordon.
Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; children Jonell Beavers of Dayton, Greg Schlenker of Beaumont, Calif., and Lynette Harper and Suzanne Anderson, both of Carson City; sisters Ella Renk of Kansas, Helen Renk of Missouri, Florence Christiansen of Texas, June Opp of California and Donna Deurmeir of South Dakota; brother Clarence of Moraga, Calif., and seven grandchildren.
Cremation will be in Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Carson City.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
