A fast-growing Las Vegas construction company is entering the Reno market.
PENTA Building Group, which in five years has grown to nearly $300 million in annual revenue and broken into the ranks of the nation's 250 biggest contractors, hopes to establish a position in commercial construction in northern Nevada.
Lou Primak, PENTA's area manager in Reno, said the company has targeted projects ranging from retail and offices to institutional and hospitality construction.
PENTA typically handles contracts between about $30 million and $100 million.
Along with its Nevada offices, the company has offices in Arizona and California.
Primak, a Reno resident since 1989, has worked 27 years in the construction industry the last three with PENTA.
He said the Reno office is expected to initially employ four persons.
The company has leased office space at 10399 Double R Boulevard, Suite 112.
