A publicly-traded company based in southern California bought a 30-acre parcel near Minden to build a large distribution center.
But everyone involved is keeping mum about the company's identify.
The land is part of a 160-acre parcel zoned light industrial and sold by Hallco Inc.
The property is adjacent to the west side of the Starbucks coffee roasting plant in Minden.
CB Richard Ellis Investment Properties Group represented the seller in the first 40- acre site.
The buyer is Rancho Plaza LLC, a developer from southern Calif.
The land is offered as four 40-acre parcels, but will be divided as needed, says Aiman Noursoultanova, vice president of the CB Richard Ellis Investment Properties Group.
With 50 acres in escrow, 20 of that with a private developer, another 70 acres are still available.
Hallco bought the land in the 1980s to hold as an investment, which had appreciated nicely, says Noursoultanova.
