Northern Nevada Bank said last week it earned $953,000 in the second quarter, a 3 percent increase from the $923,000 it earned in the same quarter a year ago.
Gross revenue rose 29 percent, to $4 million from $3.1 million a year ago.
Robert Hemsath, chief executive officer of the Reno-based company, said Northern Nevada Bank used its increasing revenue to finance growth initiatives.
Among the growth plans, he said, is a third branch in Sparks to join its headquarters in south Reno and a recently opened branch in Carson City.
Total loans as of June 30 totaled $107.5 million, a 40 percent increase from year-earlier figures.
Total assets of $126.5 million were up 30 percent from a year ago.
