The Ormsby Sportsmen's Association (OSA) of Carson City, a local organization for hunting and fishing enthusiasts, will hold the first of a series of four monthly, summer picnics on Tuesday.
The picnics are held at Mills Park on the third Tuesday of the month during the months of June, July, August and September.
All of the picnics begin at 5:30 p.m. and last until dark. Anyone attending is requested to bring a pot-luck salad or dessert to share with others.
In October, the sportsmen's club will revert back to monthly indoor meetings at the Carson Nugget Convention Center. Those meetings are the third Tuesday of each month.
There is no regular meeting in the month of December.
All OSA meetings, functions and activities are free of charge and open to all club members and to anyone else who is interested in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, etc.
The annual membership dues are $5 for adults and $2 for youngsters under the age of 16.
Note: At last month's meeting, Dan Grode, Keith Holland, Roy Huett and Dave Wonder were winners of a free fishing trip with sportfishing guide Gene St. Denis of South Lake Tahoe.
