Nancy Axsom

A memorial service for Nancy Axsom, 69, a Silver Springs resident, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Teresa Avila Church in Carson City.

Mrs. Axsom died June 5, 2005. She was born Dec. 28, 1935, in Providence, R.I.

Before moving to Silver Springs, she lived in Carson City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene.

Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Ollie Knackstedt of Silver Springs; sons Russell Dix of Silver Springs and Robert Dix of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister, Margaret Fergoda and brother, John Mello, both of California; grandchildren Richard Garcia III, André Garcia and Sarah Dix; and numerous nieces, nephews and foster grandchildren.
