Norman 'Scotty' McWilliams

Norman "Scotty" McWilliams, 90, a Carson City resident for the past 28 years, died June 4, 2005, in Carson City. He was born Feb. 20, 1915, in Colton, Calif., to John L. and Julia Ann McWilliams.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Los Angeles.

Mr. McWilliams was a past member of the Civilian Conservation Corps.

He enjoyed dancing, reading and listening to big-band-era music. He also enjoyed trains and collecting railroad memorabilia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma and daughter Judy Welton, both in 2000.

Among his survivors are his daughter Norma A. Holland of Carson City; grandsons David Welton, Alex Welton and Jeff Welton; and nine great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
