Larie Trippet has been named business development manager for the Carson City-based Northern Nevada Development Authority.
He'll recruit new industry to the region.
Trippet previously held management positions with Hughes Aircraft and Hewlett- Packard Co., owned North Tahoe Motorsports and worked in the financial services industry.
He also serves on an advisory council of the Bureau of Land Management, where he focuses on off-highway vehicle recreation and access to public lands.
