FERNLEY - The search for a 22-year-old Fernley woman was suspended at 4:40 p.m. Saturday when Chelsey Mitchell called her family and advised them they needed to call off the search, said Sheriff's Capt. Jeff Page.
Chelsey Mitchell was found at the Silver Saver gas station in Silver Springs.
She was reported missing at 4:30 p.m. Friday by a family member. Until the phone call Saturday she had not been heard from since 4 a.m. Friday.
Page said Mitchell appears to be in good physical shape.
"The Sheriff's office will continue to investigate the circumstances of her disappearance," he said.
Police were also looking for Mitchell's boyfriend, William T. Comandini, for information regarding his last contact with her. He was not considered a suspect.
Rescuers searched the south hill area of Fernley until 11 p.m. Friday and began again Saturday at 7:30 a.m. But after searching from the air and by ground on ATV's, they called off the search at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
Lyon County was aided in its search by Washoe County Search and Rescue and an aircraft out of Washoe County as well as the Lyon County's search and rescue team.
