A memorial Mass for Sietska Hendrikx, 84, a Carson City resident for the past two years, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary in the Mountains Catholic Church in Virginia City with the Rev. Joseph Anthony officiating.
Mrs. Hendrikx died March 4, 2005, in Carson City.
She was born March 30, 1920, in the Netherlands, to Roelof and Henrika Wilbrink.
She married Leo H. H. J. Hendrikx in the Netherlands in 1942. He preceded her in death in 1995.
Mrs. Hendrikx was a homemaker. She loved to read. She enjoyed playing piano, cooking, knitting and her family.
Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Kathy of Lake Forest, Calif.; daughters Monique Ellis, Giovanna Sixt, Ingrid Thomas and husband, Bob, Jose Doring and husband, Heinz, and Bella Escalante and husband, Al, Katinka Rauch and husband, Richard, all of Carson City; daughter Sietske Hendrikx-Isham and husband, Steve, of Coeur d'Alene; sisters Phemy Ryder of England and Ria Kramer of the Netherlands; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
