The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• A 20-year-old Dayton man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of misdemeanor provoking an assault and disturbing the peace. He allegedly led a group of about 20 teenagers to a home on Slide Mountain where he attempted to fight a teen there. He was also arrested on a justice court warrant for failure to appear on a contributing to the delinquency of a minor charge. Bail was set at $2,719.
• A 21-year-old mechanic from Carson City was arrested at 7:52 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of South Saliman Road on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.
• Daniel Contreras, 44, an unemployed transient, was arrested at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday in the 3100 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony possession of a stolen vehicle. Bail was set at $25,000.
Deputies responded to the following calls:
• A woman reported Thursday at 1:11 p.m. she was shot in the face with a paintball while a passenger in a vehicle on Roop Street.
• A mother reported Wednesday 10 male teens were attempting to fight with her son in the 1400 block of Slide Mountain at 8 p.m. A 20-year-old and a juvenile were arrested. Deputies towed two vehicles.
• A 12-year-old boy was being treated at Carson-Tahoe Hospital Wednesday at 10 p.m. after being shot in the head with a BB gun by his stepbrother. Police were investigating whether the shooting was intentional or accidental.
