Fast-growing ITS Logistics of Sparks plans to add 24 employees - nine now, 15 in a month or so and move to approximately 180,000 square feet of warehouse space.
The company currently occupies about 80,000 square feet at 974 United Circle in Sparks.
ITS Logistics provides transportation, warehousing and third-party logistics services.
Darryl Bader, an ITS vice president and one of the company's founders, said the company plans to hire nine drivers almost immediately as it adds 25 trucks to its fleet.
As part of its expansion project, the company told the Nevada Commission on Economic Development that it plans to add another 15 jobs at an average wage of $21.47 as it moves to new facilities.
ITS estimated its investment in its expansion at $1.6 million, and the Commission on Economic Development last week approved a state incentives package available to expanding companies that pay wages above the state average.
Bader said the company's recent growth has been spurred by heavy investments in information technology which strengthened its position in the logistics industry.
ITS currently employs 68.
