Washoe County Commissioners last week set in motion a bond sale for $11.2 million in economic development revenue bonds to help finance the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences at Incline Village.

The Center is a research facility that will focus on the study of Lake Tahoe.

It is a collaboration of UC Davis, The Desert Research Institute, The Rand Corporation and Sierra Nevada College.

The bonds will be completely secured by the college.
