Douglas R. McEachern, 78, a Carson City resident for the past 18 years, died May 1, 2005, in Carson City. He was born Oct. 1, 1926, in Ontario, Calif.
He married Carolyn on Sept. 18, 1948, in Ogden, Utah.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Folsom, Calif.
Mr. McEachern worked in civil service for the U.S. Air Force.
He served in the U.S. Army for four years during World War II.
Among his survivors are his wife; daughters Melinda and Sharon; sons-in-law Patrick Craugh and Bill Frates; grandchildren Paula Donnelly, Corky Donnelly, Dawna Donnelly, Frank Blatell and Bill Blatell; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Lillian, Dorothy, Nadine and Peggy; and brother, Calvin.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice.
Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
