Owners of the Air Center Plaza at the intersection of Longley Lane and South McCarran Boulevard are giving the 52,000- square-foot strip center a minor facelift.
Tilio Lagatta, managing member of Zephyr Capital Partners, LLC, the group that purchased the property in January, says it paid just over $6 million for the center.
The attraction: A traffic count of 50,000 vehicles, development under way across the street, and the use of the road as a commuter corridor from Sparks and northeast Reno into south Reno.
In addition to a new paint job, plans for the center call for new molding, parking lot and landscaping spruce-up, and stucco brightening, a facelift being managed by Technical Designs of Reno.
The plan calls for completion of the project within two months.
Tenants include a UPS Store, H&R Block, Auctionlink, Farmers Insurance, Bagel Stand, Szechuan Express, Sneakers, Gymboree, and medical facilities, among others.
Leases, negotiated by Gina Albanese, associate with CB Richard Ellis, start at $1.25 per square foot, triple net.
