A graveside service for Ethel May Thompson, 82, a Gardnerville resident for the past 26 years, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at Walton's Family Funeral Home in Minden.
Mrs. Thompson died May 14, 2005, at her home in Fish Springs. She was born Aug. 26, 1922, in Denver to Jack and Cosma Ferris.
She married Harold Thompson July 13, 1940, in Ventura, Calif.
Before moving to Gardnerville, Mrs. Thompson lived in Sun Valley, Calif.
She was a custodian for the Douglas County School District and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Jacqueline Hill; and brother, Jim Ferris.
Among her survivors are her husband of Fish Springs; son, Jack of Chatsworth, Calif.; daughters Gloria Burns of Santa Clarita, Calif., Carol Swan and Pat Bradbury, both of Gardnerville, Peggy Zatt of Los Osos, Calif., and Mary Pond of Fresno, Calif.; four sons-in-law and one daughter-in-law; brothers Tom Ferris of Reno and Bob Ferris of Gardnerville; 21 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
