Kelly Worley, registered nurse in the oncology unit at the Washoe Medical Center main campus, has been named a recipient of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.
The national award, given by the DAISY Foundation of Glen Ellen, Calif., recognizes nurses who provide exceptional daily care to patients and their families.
Worley also is the only chemotherapy instructor in northern Nevada certified by the Oncology Nurses Society.
