Chester A. Judycki, 61, a Dayton resident for the past five years, died May 22, 2005, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Sept. 19, 1943, in Brookfield, Mass., to Chester Sr. and Evelyn Laccase Judycki.
Before moving to Dayton, he lived in Oregon.
Mr. Judycki was a race horse jockey for many years and trained horses.
He was the oldest racing jockey in the Grants Pass Downs in Oregon when an accident occurred, breaking his back. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Disabled Veterans Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and his dog, Daisy Max.
Among his survivors are his mother of Massachusetts; stepsons Tom Harper of Washington and Anthony Judycki or Oregon; daughters and sons-in-law Billie Judycki-Taylor and Eddy Taylor of Dayton and Nora and John McCarthy of Massachusetts; daughter Christine Harper of Washington; two brothers; and five grandchildren.
No service will be held.
