A funeral for Leola Palancia, 85, a Carson City resident, will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at Walton's Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon-4 p.m. today at Walton's.
Mrs. Palancia died May 25, 2005, in Carson City. She was born Aug. 23, 1919, in Coleville, Calif., to Sanke and Harriet Moore.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in the Bay area.
Mrs. Palancia attended Stewart Indian School and studied to be a registered nurse.
During World War II, she worked in the shipyard as a welder. She enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gonzalo Palancia.
Among her survivors are nieces Sally Arnott Mendez and Alberta Snyder; nephews Victor and Raymond Gabriel and numerous great- and great-great nieces and nephews.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
