A Carson City woman was injured Friday in an accident on Mexican Dam Road.
Brooke Bishop, 24, was taken by helicopter to Washoe Medical Center after a head-on collision about 12:30 p.m.
According to Deputy Jarrod Adams, Bishop was a passenger in an eastbound vehicle driven by Michael Beveridge when Beveridge crossed into the path of a westbound truck.
Adams estimated Beveridge's speed at between 55 and 65 mph.
He apparently attempted to brake, leaving 127 feet of skid marks, but instead skidded straight into the truck, Adams said.
Beveridge suffered a head injury, but refused treatment. He was cited for reckless driving with injury.
