D & D Roofing and Sheet Metal of Sparks says it has a record $2.4 million in jobs on the books for November but a shortage of help means it's delayed in starting some jobs.
The company said last week it handled a record $2.2 million in work during October.
But President Ken Dillon said customers whose jobs are delayed don't care.
"They'll call me and say,'It's great that I see you had a record month, but when are you going to start on my job?'" he said.
He said the company needs 40 to 50 additional roofers to join its staff of 240, the largest workforce it's ever had.
Dillon said the firm has advertised as far away as the Gulf Coast, where it believes workers may be available.
