A graveside service for Inez Clara Louise Carlson Malone, 93, a Carson City resident for the past 15 years, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Oakmont Memorial Park in Lafayette, Calif. Visitation will be at noon at the funeral home.
Mrs. Malone died Nov. 10, 2005, at Carson Convalescent Center. She was born July 30, 1912, in Omaha, Neb., to Henry A. and Augusta Amelia Norquist Carlson.
She was raised on a farm near Red Oak, Iowa, and graduated from Red Oak High School in 1931.
She married Ronald James Malone on May 19, 1941, in Reno.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Pittsburg, Calif., and Vacaville, Calif.
She was employed as a legal secretary until 1937 when she moved to Pittsburg.
She later became employed as a secretary by Johns-Manville, where she worked until her retirement in 1975.
She was a member of Esther Chapter No. 3, Order of Eastern Star in Carson City, having been a member of the Pittsburg California Chapter.
She was also a member of the Methodist churches in Red Oak, Pittsburg, Vacaville and Carson City.
She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers and two sisters.
Among her survivors are her son Carl of Los Angeles; son and daughter-in-law Chuck and Lynn of Carson City; sister-in-law Florence Carlson of Apple Valley, Calif.; brother-in-law Robert Malone of Seminole, Fla.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
