The Nevada Commission on Tourism next month will recognize 19 northern Nevada organizations that invested in enhanced visitor attractions and amenities.
Statewide, 33 businesses and nonprofits will be awarded the Tourism Development Award.
Businesses and nonprofits from northern Nevada to be honored during the Governor's Conference on Tourism on Dec.
13 include:
* Reno Rodeo for its ongoing efforts to draw visitors to Reno.
* Corley Ranch of Gardnerville, which launched its Harvest Festival Extraordinary.
* Marathon de Mayo LLC, for its creation of the Marathon de Mayo Music Marathon, which is expected to bring 3,000 runners to Nevada next year * Mulligans Fun Food & Spirits of Carson City, a newly opened bar and grill.
* TGFT Productions of Stateline, which updated its vehicles and signage and added a second Web site.
* Hampton Inn & Suites, Carson City, a new hotel.
* Plaza Hotel Conference Center of Carson City, which added a conference center.
* Silver Oak Steakhouse of Carson City, which opened a new 15,000-square-foot restaurant and bar.
* Bliss Mansion Bed and Breakfast of Carson City, which restored the 1913 Charz Home to become Bliss Bungalow and Inn.
* Wells Historic Front Street Metropolis Promotion in Wells, which produced a walking tour and Wells history book and a ghost town book.
* Peppermill Casino Inc.
at West Wendover, which started roundtrip flight service seven days a week from 40 cities.
* Intermountain Guide Service LLC of Salt Lake City, which expanded into the West Wendover area and offers ATV and horsebackriding tours in the Leppy Hills area
* Outdoor X Care of Fallon, which opened rental business that supplies ATVs, Jet Skis, and camping equipment.

* Red Garter Hotel & Casino in West Wendover, which hosted off-road races in May and September.
* Hunan Buffet of Fallon, a new Chinese restaurant.
