Marti Heesen-May,Ann Askin, Kris Schlecht and Chris King each of them an employee of Washoe Medical Center have been honored with Washoe's Leadership Award.
The award, which carries a $1,000 prize, is based on nominations by the Washoe Medical staff.
Heesen-May,who works as director of health information management, also is the organization's privacy officer.
She was recognized for the passion she brings to customer service.
Askin, the manager of acute rehabilitation therapy services at Washoe Medical's main campus,was recognized for developing a new staff model and service initiatives.
Schlecht, the supervisor of health services at Hometown Health,was recognized for leadership by example and high standards.
King, the physician liaison for Washoe Medical Center, was recognized for his work in solving problems when the hospital opened a new entrance at Second and Manuel streets.
