A funeral Mass for Ruth M. Greenwald, 85, a Sun Valley resident for the past 11 years, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church at the North Chapel.

A Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Teresa in the North Chapel.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mrs. Greenwald died Oct. 5, 2005, in Sun Valley. She was born Aug. 28, 1920, in Plainfield, N.J., to Joseph and Alice McDonald.

She married William C. Greenwald on March 16, 1945, in El Paso, Texas.

Before moving to Sun Valley, she lived in Carson City for 30 years.

Mrs. Greenwald taught CCD for more than 25 years at St. Teresa of Avila.

She served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a registered nurse during World War II.

She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers Joseph and Bernard McDonald and sisters Agnes McDonald and Vivienne Deveney.

Among her survivors are daughters Jo Anne Wiley of Carson City, Patricia Peterman of Sparks and Janice Stenson of Sun Valley; grandchildren Cecilia Rios, Allison Stenson, Katrina Stenson and Matthew Peterman and one great-grandson.

Burial will be in the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.
