Budget-conscious shoppers can buy the 2006 Nevada Historical Calendar for almost half price during the week leading up to Nevada Day
The award-winning calendar, regularly sold for $10.50 each, will be priced at $6 each, or two for $10 from Oct. 24-28 at the Paul Laxalt State Building. Sale hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Calendars also may be ordered online at www.nevadamagazine.com or by calling 687-5890.
The Laxalt State Building, 401 N. Carson St., is next to the Carson Nugget.
The 2006 Nevada Historical Calendar features classic Nevada photographs, including snowy streets in 19th century Virginia City, the Joseph Platt Store in Carson City and Minden School circa 1914.
The calendar has large squares for each day of the month with room to write appointments and notes.
