Sands Regent managers

The Sands Regent, a Reno-based operator of hotel and casino properties, said it promoted five to management positions.

Jennifer Mannix has been promoted to assistant general manager of the Sands Regency, focusing on marketing, special events and community relations.

Mary Ellen Burckhard has been promoted to keno manager of both Rail City and the Sands Regency.

She previously was keno manager at Rail City.

Angie Alvarez has been promoted to bingo manager.

Alvarez was formerly a supervisor in the Sands Bingo Parlor.

Diane Jones has been promoted to director of casino games.

She also will continue to oversee table games and the poker room at the Sands Regency.

Rosa Churruca has been promoted to executive director of hotel operations.

In addition to the promotions, Jan Garcia joined the Sands Regent as the executive director of human resources.

She previously worked at Caesars Tahoe.
