Terry McQuattie, district manager for U.S. Bank in Reno, has been named chairman of the board of directors for the United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra.
Other officers include Larry Harvey of John Ascuaga's Nugget, vice chair; Dennis Redmond of Southwest Gas, treasurer; Kim Mazeres of Truckee Meadows Water Authority, secretary; and Paul Erickson of R R Donnelley, immediate past chair.
Two new board members have also been announced: Dennis Pettigrew of Washoe Medical Center, and Joan Dees of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority were named to the United Way board.
John Balentine
John Balentine, purchasing and contracts administrator for Washoe County, received the Robert C. Ashby Award for excellence in procurement from the Nevada Association of Purchasing and Supply Management.
The award is based on lifetime achievement in purchasing.
