Morgan Willows, LLC is expanding its Fernley operations and ultimately plans to transfer all operations from its headquarters in Deer Park, Wash., says Tami Weber, office manager.

The company plans to lease 200,000 square feet of new space in addition to its current 23,000 square feet on Lyon Drive at the Fernley industrial park.

Within the next 10 years, says Weber, Morgan Willows could expand its employment base from 44 to more than 400. Hiring has already begun, with the focus on construction skills.

The company got its start 20 years ago in transportation and later moved into manufacturing. It produces panelized wood framing for residential and small commercial buildings.

"Building by panelization is the wave of the future due to convenience and lack of waste," says Frank Kane, business manager. "We can frame out a house in a day."

Its customer base is primarily in northern Nevada, but it plans to expand to the entire West Coast, she says. Jimmy Davis is the managing member of the limited liability corporation that owns Morgan Willows.
