A total of 1,245 people including 325 representing businesses responded to a survey that's part of the planning for the economic future of the Truckee Meadows.
"We were extremely pleased with the strong response from citizens and businesses," said Gail Conkey, director of operations for the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada.
EDAWN is overseeing the Target 2010 study of the region's economic future, and the on-line survey that wrapped up Jan. 31 gathered the hopes of residents and business owners.
The number of responses, Conkey said, was the second-largest in the history of AngelouEconomics, the consulting firm that's handling the study.
Ongoing information about the study can be found at www.Target2010.org.
