Reno Harley-Davidson will open a clothing and accessories store in the Silver Legacy Resort Casino as it looks to extend an already strong segment of its business.

Marci Crowell, vice president and co-owner of the motorcycle dealership, said the 1,100- square-foot store at the downtown casino is projected for opening March 1.

It will be next to Rum Bullions Island Bar on the mezzanine level of Silver Legacy.

Crowell said sales of clothing and accessories already account for about 12 percent of the dealership's revenues.

The store at Silver Legacy, she said, is projected to draw sales from visitors who might not leave the downtown area to visit the dealership's main store at 2295 Market St.

Crowell said the store will feature Western and Reno-themed items that also carry the Harley-Davidson logo.
