Sharon Black, a registered nurse, has been named chief nursing officer at Northern Nevada Medical Center.
Black most recently worked as chief nursing officer of South Fulton Medical Center, a 338-bed acute care facility near Atlanta. She also has worked as administrator and chief executive officer of an 80-bed physical rehabilitation hospital in south Louisiana.
Black received her bachelor's degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and master's in health services administration from the College of Saint Francis in Joliet, Ill.
