Meridian Gold Inc. of Reno signed a deal to earn up to a 70 percent joint venture interest in a gold prospect in Elko County.
The property is controlled by Atna Resources Ltd. of Vancouver. Meridian will pay Atna $135,000 and commit to spending $300,000 on exploration in the first year of the agreement.
