Rudy Gunnerman, chairman and chief executive officer of Sparks-based SulphCo Inc., last week received the "Businessman of the Year" Award from The Business Advisory Council of the National Republican Congressional Committee.
The 77-year-old Gunnerman holds more than 300 worldwide patents.
